Sea Girt received a generous gift from an anonymous donor to set up its own library. A committee was formed and the renovations of the train station began. The library opened May 13, 1992. |

Anne Ryan has been in charge of the sea Girt Library since its inception. Her experience over the years, as a librarian, helped her create a welcome environment where members can congregate to relax and choose books of varied interest. The library is staffed by Anne and a group of volunteers. Presently there are about 1600 members enrolled at the library. All books of the Monmouth County Library are available at the Sea Grit Library. The library also carries, audio-books, magazine, newspapers, large print books, videos and DVD's. The Library also supply's community interest items such as: Tax Forms, train Schedules, Copy Machines, Fax Machines, Internet Connections, etc. |

As a member of the MCL System, Anne Ryan will gladly do research from what is available at the library or call the Monmouth County Library for any additional help that you might need.
The Sea Girt Library continues to be funded by a trust fund, individual donations and friends of the library.
