Planning & Zoning Board

The Borough of Sea Girt Planning Board combined with the Zoning Board of Adjustment acts as a single board. This combined board, when acting as a planning board has responsibilities, which include site plan review, the division of property, and review and/or revision of the Master Plan for the Borough.

On other occasions, the Planning Board, acting in its capacity as a Board of Adjustment, is responsible for reviewing requests for variances related to property use, building setback, building height, and building lot coverage.

The board is composed of nine regular members, and two alternates, appointed by the Mayor with consent of the Borough Council.

The Planning Board encourages all Sea Girt residents to attend its meetings. Input from the public with regard to issues of development is always welcome.

• Convenes at 7:30 pm.
• Meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month.
• Held at Sea Girt Elementary School located at 451 Bell Place (View Map)
