The Sea Girt Recreation Commission consists of a 5 member board appointed by the Mayor of Sea Girt. The Commission's purpose is to oversee the Borough's parks and recreational facilities as well as develop and administer recreational programs with a broad appeal to all members of the community. The Borough's recreational facilities include Baltimore Park, Crescent Park, with its tennis courts and paddle court, as well as the Bell Place tennis courts. The Commission appoints a Recreation Director, employed by the Borough, to assist in carrying out its duties. The Commission may also establish rules, set fees and regulate conduct for the use of places of recreation. Monies collected from Recreation programs as well as any outside donations, such as from the Sea Girt 5K race, are allocated in the Sea Girt Recreation Trust Fund. The Rec Trust Fund is administered by the Commission for recreational programs, equipment, facilities, maintenance and improvements.
