LIGHTHOUSE SEEKS GUIDES, WELCOMES NEW MEMBERS, ANNOUNCES SPECIAL EVENTS |
The Sea Girt Lighthouse Citizens Committee invites you to visit our historic treasure. Take a Sunday tour to explore the building from the keeper’s office on up into the tower lantern room. Along the way you’ll meet our enthusiastic volunteers who help in many ways: acquiring artifacts, researching our history, organizing displays, making presentations, guiding tours and running the lighthouse gifts table. Tours are conducted Sunday 2-4 p.m., except holiday weekends, through November 18. Why not become a lighthouse volunteer? The benefits include the fellowship of other lighthouse enthusiasts and the gratification of helping to maintain a legendary building and to tell its fascinating story. Volunteers of all ages are sought. For students, the experience can fulfill community service requirements and makes for an impressive activity on college applications. |

You don’t need to be a Sea Girt Lighthouse Citizens Committee member to volunteer. But we welcome new members. If you are already one of our more than 400 members, the SGLCC trustees thank you for your support and encourages you to recruit your friends and family. If you are not yet a member, consider joining us. Membership is $25 yearly per person; $200 for perpetual membership.
