Volunteering & Community Use

Enjoy the benefit of fellowship with other lighthouse enthusiasts, the gratification of helping to maintain a historic landmark, and the opportunity to tell its fascinating story. Volunteers of all ages are being sought to help conduct tours. It's easy, fun and rewarding. A script with a room-by-room history of the building and identification of artifacts is given to each new guide for reference. For students, the experience can fulfill community service requirements and makes for an impressive activity on college applications. You do not need to be a member of the Sea Girt Lighthouse Citizens Committee to volunteer. To volunteer, please call (732) 974-0514.

The lighthouse is available to Sea Girt property owners for special events, such as family reunions, engagement showers, and anniversary celebrations, and to area civic groups and non-profit organizations, including the local garden club, the fishing club, and an artists group for their meetings.

Fees and Insurance

• $300 per Event (Use available to Sea Girt property owners only)
• $1,000 Refundable Security Deposit
• Certificate of Liability Insurance for Day of Event ($1 Million Minimum)
