Hazardous Household Waste Disposal

Hazardous household waste is defined as any materials that exhibit certain hazardous characteristics. Some examples of hazardous household waste material are paints, automotive products, pesticides, aerosols, and flammable materials.

Hazardous household waste materials are not collected or accepted for disposal by the Borough of Sea Girt. However, Monmouth County has a Permanent Household Hazardous Waste Site facility set up to accept these products.

Year-round hazardous household waste disposal is available free of charge to county residents at the Monmouth County Household Hazardous Waste Facility, 3211 Shafto Road in Tinton Falls.

Please call (732) 683-8686 ext. 5210 for more information, directions, or to make an appointment. Additional information can be found here: Household Hazardous Waste Facility Information.
